The Goddess Speaks On Overcoming Suffering

The only bonds which tie you are those which you weave with your own mind.

When you are seduced by the siren song of safety, when you trade your own soul's truth for comfort, for love, for material support, when you believe that any other person has a greater right than you to choices, to joy, to being fully alive, at those times you bind yourself to suffering and sorrow.

When you judge the world, when you label things good and bad, right and wrong, just and unjust, then do you condemn yourself to resisting the bad, wrong, and unjust, and to striving for an ever-retreating ideal of goodness, rightness, and justness.

When you make a god of your fear, you put yourself in prison and turn your back on the key.

In truth, no bonds can tie you. In truth, no walls can hold you. In truth, no loss can hurt you. You may have lost touch with the depths of your soul, the part of you that remembers that all of this physical reality is just an illusion. This part of you knows that all of space and time and all the pains and joys of being human are no more limiting than mist, or a holographic image.

This part of you soars freely, delighting in the myriad sensations of being human, of being alive, of testing the imaginary limits and pretending to be bound by them.

This part of you lives always in a state of joy and ecstasy.

This part of you is free. This part of you is Me.

Find Me, for I have never left you.

Find Me, and remember - you are free.

Understand why you got in.

It's not what it seems ...

Those of you who have chosen difficult lives have done so because it gives you an opportunity to correct an imbalance, to restore some essential aspect of life which has been missing in your corner of the world.

The way to correct the imbalance is to identify it, and then put all your attention on the side which has been missing.

If you are in a hole financially, then scarcity has too much of your attention, and abundance too little. I am showering you with gifts and opportunities, my beloved, but when you are not looking for them, they may as well not exist.

If you are in a hole with relationships, then fear has too much of your attention, and love too little. This does not mean that you continue living with someone who is physically abusive when your gut tells you to get out. But it does mean that you leave with love, and gratitude for the lessons that person has taught you. You must find your way back to love for yourself, before you can form a nurturing, satisfying relationship with any other human being.

Any place where something you don't like keeps on going, look for the imbalance, and find it within yourself to correct the balance. If you ask me, right now, I will show you gifts you have in your possession for which you can be deeply grateful. Close your eyes, ask Me without reserve, and then open your eyes again. You will see.
